There’s never a dull moment in New Smyrna Beach, and the months of May and June are no different. This weekend, stop in any bar or restaurant along the beachside and check out great blues bands at the New Smyrna Beach Blues Festival  There are multiple venues with a variety of bands – all with no cover charge.
Every month, you can count on the Saturday Farmers Market in Old Fort Park and beachside at Norwood’s. From orchids to organic vegetables, steel drum music to Thai take out, grab your reusable grocery bag and wander. (There are plenty of free samples too!) For the car enthusiasts, the second Saturday on Canal Street is East Coast Cruiser night, a free car show with locals and guests sharing their pride and joy (and letting you peer under the hood).
On the fourth Saturday, Flagler Avenue is bustling with the Wine Walk. One glass, one great afternoon, and plenty of stops along the way. Craft beer more your style? The Canal Street Historic Craft Beer Walk happens the first Saturday of every month.
The end of May brings the Turtle Take-Off 5K & Marine Expo, the 2017 Country 500 music fest at Daytona USA, and the SEVHS Poker Run.
Of course, we can’t forget the reason why we all love New Smyrna Beach – the beach. The ocean is a perfect temperature, the nights are cool enough for open windows and soft ocean breezes, and it’s starting to feel like summertime.
Grab your beach towel and join us at Holiday Cove North.
