As the weather report brings more news of cold fronts and record snows, we imagine the idea of putting your toes in the sand in New Smyrna Beach is sounding pretty nice. Of course, when the calendar year rolls over, the fun and activities in New Smyrna Beach are just heating up.
The end of January brings Images: A Festival of the Arts to downtown New Smyrna Beach. This highly acclaimed juried art show brings over 200 top quality artists from around the US and thousands of visitors. The same weekend begins the fast action at the Daytona Beach Speedway with the Rolex 24 race. And then two weeks later, it’s the most famous race in the world – the 60th running of The Daytona 500.
As the groundhog ushers in February, we’ll already be celebrating spring-like weather with recurring events like Saturday Farmers Markets and Classic Car Shows. Two 5k and Half Marathon races are scheduled and the restaurants and bars along Flagler are ready with their Mardi Gras festivities and beads.
Looking ahead to March, we’ll welcome the bikers back for the 77th Annual Bike Week.
